I started having MASSIVE left side pain, and I got really scared that something was happening or had happened to the baby, so I drove myself to the ER. They took me back in less than ten minutes, which is really quick for them considering when I take my son it takes about an hour to even see a triage nurse. So they drew some blood and made me pee in a cup (haven't I done enough of that in the past few weeks?) and stuck me in a nasty gown in an isolated room. The nurse came in to ask me if I was getting beat at home (and props for that, because some women just won't say anything anywhere else) and then the doctor came in and coped a feel!
Then I waited a grand total of 10 minutes for the doctor to come back in and tell me that I have a kidney stone.
Thank GOD nothing is wrong with my baby!
I won't thank God for the kidney stone.

I'm "Anal"?
So, I got into a fight with someone today over who knows what (it was just THAT insignificant) and they called me "anal".
First of all, I'm pregnant, so I reserve the right to be 'anal". I also reserve the right to pee a hundred times a day, sleep if I get tired, and eat pretty much whatever I want.
Second, maybe I'm so "anal" right now because I'm constipated. Pregnancy does things to a womans body that most men would go their wholes lives without electing to know about.
It could be that I'm "anal" because I'm about to put on at least 30 pounds, if not more, and probably just in my butt alone. Add in another 20 for my boobs, and 15 for everywhere else, and the sum is that of an "anal" woman.
My "anal" behavior could also be attributed to the fact that I throw up at regular intervals throughout the day, and I just don't have the patience to "stomach" your moods.
Lastly, I might be "anal" because I'm INSANELY tired, and I just can't get comfortable enough to sleep.
So, okay, maybe I am "anal" today. And you know what? I'm okay with that.

Sleeping Awake and Awake When I'm Sleeping
I still can't sleep! I need someone to just give me a concussion or knock me out! I even went to Wal*Mart tonight, just to walk around. I thought maybe if I did some heavy walking, I might get tired. But, alas, it didn't work.
On the upside of things, every employee at the Wal*Mart Supercenter in Poulsbo was really friendly and super helpful tonight. I don't think I've ever seen that happen before!

All Work and No Sleep Makes Mommy a Mad Girl
I haven't been sleeping hardly at all, and when I do sleep, I toss and turn and sweat all night. I'm getting miserable! I barely have enough energy to chase my son around, much less finish the housework each day. It's funny, because you'd think wil all thsi time I'm not sleeping, I'd be able to find the time to wash dishes or fold some laundry, but I can barely keep my eyes open.
Can anyone help me?

Sick as a Dog
...where did that phrase come from, anyway?
I'm sick to my stomach. I thought a Sprite might help. It didn't.
On a completely unrelated note, my neighbors are fighting really loudly in their driveway. I hate it when they do. It's always incredibly obscene. Hopefully their fighting doesn't make me feel any sicker...

MAD at My Medical!
So, I'm pretty livid! I can't make an appointment with the OB clinic because my home clinic hasn't released my medical records, or something along those ridiculous lines. Making appointments in the military health care system is a joke anyway, it usually takes about three weeks to get seen. I need to be seen in the 8th week of pregnancy, and that's two weeks away. So if I have to wait until my records are released, it could take up to a month to get seen. Now, by logical deduction, couldn't that put my baby at risk? Why couldn't they just make the appointment, and if, for any reason at all I wouldn't need it anymore, release it later? That way, I could get seen in time, and my baby wouldn't suffer....
When I was pregnant with my son, I had no worries at all. My husband was between jobs at the time, so I got on emergency Medi-Cal. As funny as this seems, the free health care I got on that program is better than the programs they offer our men and women in uniform and their families. They offered me everything whenever I wanted it. I got a bunch of ultrasounds (I hear the naval hospital only gives you one in the middle of pregnancy) and I got my vitamin prescriptions when I needed them (instead of having to wait three weeks for them to call them in) and so on and so forth...
I feel like writing a letter or a blog somewhere very public about all of this. I'm just THAT mad!!!

Buying for Baby?
It's not too soon, is it? Yesterday, I bought this adorable yellow ducky sleeper at Target. I just couldn't help myself! I figured ducks are fairly neutral, so it could work for a boy or a girl. I also bought some long sleeved onsies, a few bottles and nipples, some breastfeeding supplies, and some more home safety items. I even bought maternity pants to counteract my anger in my skinny jeans not fitting me anymore.
On the buying for baby side of things, has anyone ever seen the "Nursery-In-A-Box" set from WalMart? We're seriously considering buying it. It comes with a crib, changing table, and a dresser, all for $200. I think it's a good deal, what do you think?

Morning Sickness Fun!
So today started some what horribly! I ended up getting morning sickness. The funny thing is that I actually got it in the morning! With Dylan, I never had any morning sickness at all. I never threw up, I never got dizzy. He was an ideal pregnancy. I worry now that this one won't be quite as nice. It seems to already be off to a "fun" start...

How Could I Forget?
I had seriously forgotten how tired pregnancy makes me! The horrible thing is, I can’t sleep at night! I think I have a hyper sensitivity to caffeine now. I didn’t go to bed until abour 5 this morning, I slept until 10, and then while Dylan was playing downstairs, I fell asleep on the couch for an hour. Now that it’s night time and everyone else in my house is asleep, I’m wide awake, blogging about how I can’t fall asleep!
Welcome Me!
I just thought I would use my first blog post to really introduce myself.
I’m Susan and I’m 25. I live in Butthole, Washington (Actually, it’s Silverdale). I’m been married to a naval submariner for about three and a half years. We have a son together, Dylan, who will be three in April. We’re also expecting our second child. I found out I was pregnant about a week ago, and after my initial elation, I got incredibly scared. Will I love my second child as much as my first? Will I get as fat this time? Will I have the same symptoms as before? Where can I go to talk about this without sounding like a goober?
I’m blogging now because I wanted to keep a record of important events in this pregnancy, but I thought in doing so, I could create a go-to place for woman who are carrying their second child and still can’t quite figure out what to make of it.
So, relax and enjoy my blog!
